VISION
Virtual Integrated Supply-chain Improvement with Optimized Networking
Project description
The VISION project represents a groundbreaking initiative in the realm of supply chain management, specifically targeting the construction, mining and aerospace sectors. At its core, VISION seeks to address the critical challenges these industries face due to fragmented supply chains, which often result in inefficiencies in material traceability, delivery delays, and suboptimal resource utilization. These issues are further compounded by the growing imperative for environmental sustainability and stringent data security requirements. VISION's approach is to integrate advanced technologies such as Digital Twins, Augmented Reality (AR), and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) to create a connected, intelligent supply chain management system. This system aims to provide real-time insights, enhance transparency, and optimize processes for improved efficiency and sustainability.
The primary goals of the VISION project are multifaceted. Firstly, it aims to revolutionize supply chain management by providing a comprehensive, real-time view of the entire supply chain, thereby enabling better decision-making and operational efficiency. Secondly, the project focuses on achieving significant reductions in carbon emissions and waste, aligning with global net-zero targets. Additionally, VISION intends to enhance data security and integrity across the supply chain, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats. By achieving these objectives, VISION aspires to set a new standard in supply chain management, offering a scalable and sustainable solution that can be adapted across various industries, ultimately contributing to a more efficient, environmentally friendly, and secure industrial ecosystem.
