pROM results computation and visualization in Simcenter 3D

Project
19037 COMPAS
Type
New service
Description

Parametric reduced order models (pROM) allow for a creation of a single compact model that can be evaluated (quickly) for different values of the retained parameters. Those parameters can be material parameter such as density or Young’s modulus. In the context of thermo-mechanical problem this is especially relevant as those parameters can be temperature dependent.
An extension to Simcenter 3D was developed to be able to load a pROM model and allow the user to select a combination of parameters and instantaneously generate the results and visualize them.

Technical features

A graphical user interface (GUI) in Simcenter 3D was developed by leveraging NXOpen to allow the user to load a parametric reduced order model and generate the result for a frequency response analysis for any selected frequency and combination of parameters, allowing fast design exploration.

Integration constraints

This feature is an extension to Simcenter 3D, so a working Simcenter 3D installation is required
