Jaume I University

Universitat Jaume I is currently the leading higher education and research centre in the north of the Valencian Community and it is continually seeking to enhance the social, economic and cultural development of the society in which it is immersed through the creation and transmission of knowledge. Universitat Jaume I has a wide network of international contacts made up of about 145 university-partners in Europe, the United States and Latin America, which has given rise to exchange programmes between students and between members of the academic staff, as well as educational and research projects. Universitat Jaume I participates in all the international programmes implemented throughout the European Union. Within the University the Engineering System Department is composed by more than 80 academic and research personnel in the areas of industrial engineering (industrial organisation, electronics, electrical, mechanical, materials, manufacturing, and design). In the field of process management and supporting software systems the team coordinated by Prof. Jose Antonio Heredia has lead numerous research projects at European, national and local level, by which competences and solutions for process management and computational intelligence applied to different scientific domains has been acquired. As a consequence UJI will provide expertise in computational intelligence, software systems design, development, and implementation and business process management. In the field of Energy Efficiency professors participating in the Master on Energy Efficiency, an official master training professional with specific knowledge for the design and management of industrial facilities and buildings, also will contribute to the project research from Univesity Jaume I.
