Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT)
IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse) was founded in 1990. Since then, it plays a prominent role in Toulouse computer science research. It gathers together more than 500 members among which 400 researchers, faculty members, and Ph.D. students affiliated to CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), INPT (Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse), UPS (Université Paul Sabatier), UT1 (Université Toulouse 1 Sciences Sociales) and UTM (Université Toulouse le Mirail). IRIT has long experience in participating and managing collaborative and networking projects.
Within IRIT, the MACAO (Modèles, Aspects, Composants pour des Architectures à Objets) team focuses its researches on Model Driven Software Engineering (MDE). The diversity of skills of its members allows it to study a large set of paradigms of programming including objects / components, formal methods applied to the MDE, process development and modelling real-time, and the integration of these paradigms in a method of design and engineering systems. The MACAO team is active within the community working on system and software development based on model transformations.
Besides its community involvement, the MACAO team has also participated in several projects, including TOPCASED, DOMINO and NEPTUNE. The team is currently a partner in the FP7 TERESA (Trusted computing Engineering for Resource constrained Embedded Systems Applications) project. The overall objective of this is to enforce Security and Dependability (S&D) in RCES with Model Driven Engineering.
