PIKETEC

PikeTec (Berlin, Germany) is specialized in quality assurance and quality management for embedded control and closed-loop control and offers a wide range of consulting services and innovative tools for software development of embedded systems in this area. The goal is to provide optimisation opportunities to both the quality of the development process and the resulting products.

PikeTec assists embedded system software development by means of consulting and the development of specialised tools in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the development process. This combination of consulting and adaptation of methods and tools allows to tailor solutions to the specific demands of each project and manage changes during the development process.

PikeTec has been founded in 2006. The PikeTec founders share a ten year working experience at Daimler Research & Technology. Their research is focussed on software technology and tool development for the software development of embedded systems. With their work they supported the development group at Daimler AG by defining and designing development processes, development methods and tools. This support included also the technical and scientific steering of development projects in the automotive divisions passenger compartment, driving dynamics, telematics and powertrain. One result of their work is the development of the test method “TPT” as well as the corresponding TPT tool chain that is specialized for testing embedded control and closed-loop control systems. Today, TPT is in use at Daimler serial development and at some supplier companies already. PikeTec took over the development of TPT from Daimler in order to allow a broader community to use the TPT concepts and tools.
