Vitim Oy in ITEA & ARTEMIS Co-summit 2012 in Paris

Vitim Oy took part in ITEA & ARTEMIS Co-summit 2012 on October 30–31. The summit was held in CNIT – La Défence in Paris, France. The theme of this year’s summit was: “Sharing a vision for ICT innovation”. There were nearly 700 participants from various industries, academia, public authorities and press attending the event.

The issues discussed in the summit were related to the changes and disruption that are faced by the modern world. Major areas of changes which were concentrated on included the following: globalization, sustainability, management of scarce resources, climate change, urbanization, green, safe and supportive door-to-door mobility, healthcare and nutrition, and the digital society. In order to provide solutions to master the upcoming economic and societal changes, ITEA and ARTEMIS state that ICT innovation and continuous research and development (R&D) operations are needed in today’s world.

Polina Kachurina visited the event and brought new project ideas from Paris. The potential project partners network was enriched by new contacts. Gala evening was also an interesting experience of business talks in unofficial environment.

There were altogether 90 projects presented by ITEA and ARTEMIS in the event exhibitions. The purpose of the exhibitions was to show to participants of the summit that ICT is at the heart of innovation. This year, the projects were related to the topic of ‘reliability’.
