METAVERSE1 wins silver medal

Metaverse1 received second prize in the Outstanding Achievement Award, which was handed out at the ITEA / Artemis Co-summit held in Helsinki. The project was picked from fifteen contenders. 

The Metaverse1 project ended this March. The project developed interoperability standards between virutal and real worlds, through sensors and actuators, visualizations, and applications in specific professional domains. One of the major achievement was the development of the ISO / IEC MPEG-V virtual worlds standard. Almende joined the project as part of DevLab.
