Trustworthy, adaptive conversational AI across domains

Project description

Conversational AI is rapidly evolving and creating new ways for people to access information, services and expertise. Narrate explores this potential across three distinct domains: **media, human resources and engineering software services**. General-purpose AI systems are not designed to address all the specific knowledge, context, interaction and trust requirements of these domains. Organisations therefore need conversational AI that can adapt to their domain, users and context while remaining trustworthy, transparent and privacy-aware. Narrate aims to develop a modular platform and methodology for trustworthy, domain-aware conversational AI. The project explores how specialised and general-purpose AI models, domain-specific knowledge, intelligent orchestration, personalisation, narrative design and multimodal interaction can be combined into effective conversational experiences. By developing and evaluating use cases across the three domains, Narrate will identify reusable building blocks that can be shared across sectors, as well as requirements that need domain-specific solutions.
