Discover the challenges shared by the newly established ITEA Cyber Security Advisory Board
On 6 July, the first ITEA Cyber Security Advisory Board (CySAB) meeting took place. Eleven international customers gathered to share Cyber Security challenges and best practices in this newly established initiative, which has the goal to create a continuous dialogue between the Board members and between the CySAB and the ITEA R&D Community.
The CySAB members will be able to benefit from the shared knowledge and the access to an innovative Community. On the other hand, the ITEA Community will be able to focus their innovations efforts on their existing challenges and thereby creating R&D projects with real impact.
The CySAB is one of the Advisory Boards established based on ITEA’s key challenges. With Cyber Security’s importance continuously increasing, especially during the pandemic, it is essential to address this topic in a collaborative way.
In this first meeting, several challenges were shared:
- Cyber security for interconnected systems
- Operational technology (OT) cyber security
- Trust within the supply chain
- Worldwide standards for cybers ecurity
- Real-time detection of threats
- Secure identities
- Privacy
- Usability and onboarding users
The full Cyber Security Advisory Board meeting report, containing the details of the challenges and the key takeaways, can be downloaded here and it is also shared in the ITEA project idea tool (login to your ITEA account needed), as input for the upcoming Call for projects that will open on 13 September 2021.
The next CySAB meeting is preliminary scheduled in November 2021, in conjunction with the Cyber Security & Cloud Expo, where ITEA hopes to be present with a set of Cyber security-related R&D projects. More information can be found at https://cybersecuritycloudexpo.com/europe.
