GUIDE
Guidance Platform for People with Disabilities (PwD) through Digital Empowerment
Project description
The GUIDE project aims to revolutionize accessible navigation by developing an intelligent, multimodal platform that enables seamless indoor and outdoor mobility for all users, including People with Disabilities (PwD). The project combines cutting-edge technologies such as GIS, AI, computer vision, and digital twins to create a comprehensive digital walking network that integrates tactile paths, points of interest, and real-time accessibility information. GUIDE connects public transport data, indoor positioning systems, and AI-powered assistants to deliver accurate, user-centered navigation support across complex urban and building environments.
Through collaboration among leading technology partners and research organizations, GUIDE seeks to eliminate the barriers that limit independent mobility. By enabling proactive accessibility routing, real-time feedback, and dynamic adaptation to disruptions, the project transforms traditional navigation into an inclusive, data-driven service. Ultimately, GUIDE aims to make cities and public spaces more accessible, intelligent, and sustainable, empowering every individual to move confidently and independently.
