ReliableStream develops an open, distributed streaming platform for authentic, tamper-resistant video content. Addressing deepfakes, misinformation, copyright violations, and the risks of centralised platforms, the project enables secure verification of media origin while supporting new forms of creative collaboration. It allows edited and personalised video variants to be generated from multiple trusted sources for individual users. Key outcomes include an open platform standard, authenticity-enabled cameras, advanced fake detection tools, and AI-based content variant generation technologies preserving the overall narrative, fostering a trustworthy and decentralised digital media ecosystem.
