F-Secure Research is pioneering a radical shift in cybersecurity research—moving beyond purely technical solutions to embrace the complex socio-technical reality of modern digital threats. We're building a truly multidisciplinary security research capability that combines behavioral science, social research, and advanced AI with our proven technical expertise in threat intelligence. Our new strategy positions us uniquely to tackle the €1 trillion global scam pandemic by understanding scams as fundamentally human problems of trust and vulnerability, not just technical exploits.

Central to our approach is developing trustworthy AI systems that help consumers not just survive but thrive in an increasingly degraded information environment—where distinguishing real from fake becomes ever more challenging and epistemic insecurity threatens everyday digital interactions. We're researching how AI can both detect scams and rebuild consumer confidence online, exploring what builds trust in automated protection, and designing transparent AI that works with human psychology to enable genuine digital flourishing. Looking beyond current protection paradigms, we're investigating how to help consumers navigate a future where AI-generated content, sophisticated personalized scams, and eroding institutional trust require entirely new approaches to safety and security.

The majority of F-Secure revenue come from selling products and services through its extensive and global Channel Partner network, including approximately 200 channel Partners. Channel Partners include, for example, communication service providers, retailers, banks, and insurance companies. In addition to selling products through Channel Partners, F-Secure makes standalone and all-in-one security offerings available to consumers through various e-commerce channels such as mobile application stores and its own online store.
