
THUAS
The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) is an organisation where 28,000 students pursue their education. The organisation has 2,600 employees and 5 locations in the Randstad area. Additionally, there are 6 Centers of Expertise, with the Center of Expertise Cyber Security being one of them.
The Center of Expertise Cyber Security (CoECS) operates as a multidisciplinary hub, comprising four distinct research groups: Cyber Security & Safety, Cyber Security in SMEs, Network & Systems Engineering Cyber Security, and Cyber Security & Risk Management.
The main aim of the CoECS is to strengthen the cyber resilience of public and private organisations that might not be adequately prepared to face cyber threats. This goal is pursued by developing expertise through practical research activities carried out in collaboration with governmental bodies, businesses, and educational institutions. Research within the domain of cyber resilience is categorised into three themes:
Expertise
Within the scope of the project, the research group on Network & Systems Engineering Cyber Security is actively engaged. This group specialises in various aspects of cyber security, with a particular emphasis on technical aspects. Network & Systems Engineering Cyber Security focuses on safeguarding Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
