Smart City presented to 600 foreign trade advisors at annual symposium

Following the launch of the EUREKA Smart City initiative, ITEA 3 Cluster Vice-Chairman Philippe Letellier, presented on Smart Cities last month in Miami at the yearly symposium of 600 French foreign trade advisors in the presence of French Foreign Affairs Minister Laurent Fabius.

Mr. Letellier, presented as case studies ITEA projects SmartTouch, Smart Urban Spaces and IMPONET, addressing e-city services through near field communication and mobile technology, as well as electrical energy management in urban areas.

The new inter-Cluster initiative on Smart Cities was kick-started last year, with a memorandum of understanding urging EUREKA member countries to support a potential €2 billion-worth of projects by 2020.
