Reflexion project nominated for ITEA Award of Excellence

The ITEA Board Support Group together with the Steering Group, nominates each year three outstanding ITEA projects for the ITEA Awards of Excellence.

This year these awards will focus on the key achievements for ITEA:

• Innovation
• Business impact
• Standardisation

Big-Data-Analysen können beim Einsatz von Kunstherzen den medizinischen Fortschritt entscheidend beschleunigen. Im so genannten Big Dependable System (BDS) sollen nun auch ver­netzte unzuverlässige Komponenten definierte Beiträge für kritische Funktionen leisten können. Ein nachhaltiges Nachsorge‑, Betreuungs- und Notfallkonzept für Patienten mit Herzunterstützungs­systemen ermöglicht Patienten bei guter Lebensqualität den angstfreien Weg zurück in den "normalen" Alltag.

"The ITEA Board Support Group selected the Reflexion project for an ITEA Award of Excellence for the three criteria at a level never achieved."

The project was selected, amongst others, because of:

• the different case of full digital loop from the design
• the instrumentation of the products services
• the data acquisition
• the data analysis and
• the feedback to the design team

On September 3, during the ITEA PO Preparation Days 2019 Amsterdam, there will be a plenary session with presentations by the three award-winning projects, the others are ACOSAR and OPENCPS.
