Framework for digital twin development
- Project
- 19037 COMPAS
- Type
- New service
- Description
Designing a Digital Twin for a product or a system can be complex when multiple models and data streams are used. It becomes even more complex when realizing that both the models and the sensor data have a certain level of uncertainty. Setting up a Digital twin requires a structured framework with modular reusable building blocks. In the Compas project Reden B.V. has created a first version of such a framework. With the help of this frame work Reden can design Digital Twins for clients in a economically effective way.

- Technical features
The framework has been programmed in C# but functions as a library which can be called from any other programming language. Specifically for python a number of features have been added to make the user experience as good as possible. The framework setup is very generic such that it can be used for many applications. The user has the ability to easily add models and services and make a connection to sensor data of the physical assed (synthetic data). All communication between the different building blocks as well as data management is taken care by the framework.
- Integration constraints
The framework is design to be used during the design phase of the digital twin not for the operational phase.
- Targeted customer(s)
Infineon, NXP, ASML and other organisations that value reliability of there products.
- Conditions for reuse
The framework will be used in commercial projects by Reden as a consultancy service.
