- Description
iTHEIA, a non-intrusive, video-based, traffic data system uses AI technology to count and classify vehicles. It utilizes edge computing to process video data at the roadside without the need for cloud processing. A permanent version and a portable version give the flexibility to move the system from site to site for temporary traffic studies. This provides a new alternative method of vehicle counting and classification in place of axle-based systems require closing lanes, installing equipment in the roadway, and lane closures in the future.
