Multi-vendor mobility metrics conflated to a single authoritative network

- Description
Many vendors provide mobility metrics often delivered in a geospatial format where mobility metrics are attributes to portions of road geometry. Across different vendors, the geometry alignment, linear segmentation, and information schema vary. This system integrates data from vendors to align to one authoritative network, linear portions are dynamically segmented and information schema are conflated. This allows for apples-to-apples comparisons of mobility metrics along a corridor that represent traffic movement on the network across time, regardless of which vendor the data originated from.

- Research area(s)
- GIS, Transportation planning, data integration, conflation, dynamic segmentation, travel time, traffic congestion, mobility trends, KPI
- Technical features
• Automated alignment, segmentation, and information conflation. • User defined corridor of interest (corridor can be defined as part of an automated process) • Captures multiple scenarios for cross comparison and visualization. • Selectively include or exclude specific vendors from each analysis. • Combine real-time API data and flat files depending on vendor capabilities.
- Integration constraints
This is a custom solution that includes necessary components to install within the ArcGIS environment.
- Targeted customer(s)
Road authorities, traffic planners, mobility researchers, GIS departments
- Conditions for reuse
Users must have access to the following Esri license: • ArcGIS Pro (Standard License) • ArcGIS Roads and Highways (Location Referencing Extension license) • ArcGIS Enterprise • Python execution environment • Third party mobility data source (e.g.: Geotab Altitude, HERE Technologies, Streetlight Data)
