Description

ChatSens is an enterprise-grade conversational AI platform and intelligent dialogue system designed specifically for large-scale physical and phygital retail environments. Deployed on interactive self-service kiosks and autonomous mobile store robots, ChatSens bridges the gap between digital e-commerce personalization and shopping journey. It transforms static in-store search points into proactive, human-like virtual sales assistants capable of understanding customer intent, resolving natural language inquiries, and serving context-aware, hyper-personalized product recommendations in real time.

Technical features

The technical features of the ChatSens solution are summarized below:

  • LLM & Semantic NLP Processing: Utilizes state-of-the-art Large Language Models and natural language understanding (NLU) to identify complex shopper intents, extract entities, and handle open-ended inquiries without rigid rule trees.
  • Multilingual Localization: Provides native language processing initially tailored for Turkish and English, built with a modular architecture for expansion into other languages with minimal customization.
  • Hybrid Recommendation Architecture: Integrates collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and deep learning embeddings to link user preferences and item attributes, effectively mitigating cold-start and data sparsity challenges.
  • Spatial Planogram & In-Store Navigation Mapping: Synchronizes recommendation outputs with store floor layouts, planograms, and indoor mapping to direct shoppers to specific aisle and shelf coordinates.
  • Cross-Hardware Edge Deployment: Built as a hardware-agnostic software framework designed to operate on local edge compute modules for both stationary self-service kiosks and autonomous mobile robots.
  • Enterprise GDPR & Privacy-by-Design Architecture: Features localized data processing, database encryption, and automated data masking to safeguard customer dialogue and interactions without retaining personally identifiable information.
  • Multimodal Natural Dialogue Interface: Supports voice-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and touchscreen interactions, operating via conversational flow engines for natural human-computer interaction.
Integration constraints

Internet connection, edge device OS options and potential regulatory constraints.

Targeted customer(s)

Targeted global customers for the ChatSens solution are categorized across five primary enterprise segments:

  1. Large-Footprint & DIY Retailers
  • Home Improvement & DIY Chains: Big-box retailers with expansive store layouts and complex, non-hierarchical inventory catalogs (such as Kingfisher, Leroy Merlin, Home Depot, or OBI) where shoppers struggle to find items, understand technical compatibility, or receive timely floor assistance.
  • Furniture & Home Décor Chains: Retailers requiring cross-selling combinations, matching item suggestions, and spatial guidance for styling concepts (e.g., IKEA).
  1. Multi-Store Fashion Brands
  • Fast-Fashion & Department Stores: International fashion retail networks operating hundreds of locations (e.g., Inditex/Zara, H&M, DeFacto, Marks & Spencer) looking to deploy interactive kiosks to assist shoppers with size/color availability, style-matching, and influencer-inspired complementary product recommendations.
  • Omnichannel Apparel Chains: Brands looking to connect online user profiles and wishlists with in-store physical shopping baskets to raise Average Order Values (AOV).
  1. International Transport Hubs & Transit Venues
  • Aviation & Airport Operators: International airport terminal authorities (such as TAV Airports, Fraport, or Changi) managing high foot traffic, where passengers require multilingual flight guidance, directions to gates or duty-free zones, and touchless assistance.
  • Railway & Transit Stations: Major rail hubs that require automated, interactive concierge kiosks and mobile guidance assistants to handle routine passenger inquiries and relieve frontline staff.
  1. Commercial Real Estate & Shopping Mall Operators
  • Shopping Centers & Mixed-Use Complexes: Property operators seeking centralized digital directories or mobile concierge robots to replace static 2D floor plans with interactive, localized guidance, store promotions, and event announcements.
  • Hypermarket & Supermarket Operators: Large-scale grocery chains (e.g., Carrefour, Tesco) aiming to streamline aisle navigation, reduce checkout/counter congestion, and suggest targeted brand campaigns near specific shelves.
  1. Service Robotics OEMs & Kiosk System Integrators
  • Hardware Manufacturers & System Integrators: Kiosk vendors and service robot manufacturers that need a modular, API-driven software layer (NLP dialogue, LLM recommendation, and planogram mapping) to turn their bare-metal hardware into turnkey retail solutions.
Conditions for reuse

Retailers and airport operators can reuse ChatSens via an annual or multi-year software subscription (SaaS) covering dialogue engine updates, LLM maintenance, and ongoing API support.
