Region Västmanland

Centre for Clinical Research, Region Västmanland – Uppsala University (CCR-V) is a research institution which includes, apart from research and training of researchers, the basic education of medical students. The aim of CCR-V is to gather the existing competence in scientific methodology, biostatistics, epidemiology and data management in one place and make it easily accessible for all staff within the Region. The Centre’s target group comprises all employees of the medical service, who are offered the opportunity to conduct or participate in scientific projects within the CCR-V’s organisation. The CCR-V is represented on the executive board of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy at Uppsala University by its Head and Director, who has been awarded the status of prefect. Within Region Västmanland, the CCR-V is part ot the Centre for Health and Healthcare Development. Organizationally, the CCR-V is under the responsibility of the Region Director.
The Child- and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) clinic provides service for 65.000 children and adolescents 0-17 years living in the county of Västmanland, Sweden. The service is publicly financed.
Since 2009, our CCR-V/CAP research group has conducted child- and adolescent research fully integrated in everyday clinical practice. Our main research focus within this field is clinical epidemiology including biological and psychosocial factors, cost-efficient and timely diagnostic assessment including the development and evaluation of digital diagnostic instruments, and individual factors related to treatment response.
