RapidMiner provides software for Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Predictive Analytics, Data Science, Text Analytics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Information Extraction, and all kinds of data analysis and forecasting. RapidMiner was founded in 2007 in Dortmund, Germany, where it still has its main Research & Development (R&D) center. Today, RapidMiner is an SME with about 100 employees and with offices in Germany, Hungary, UK, and the USA. RapidMiner's vision is to reinvent enterprise AI, so that anyone has the power to positively shape the future. RapidMiner offers an easy-to-use end-to-end data science platform that unifies data preparation, machine learning, and model operations with a user experience that provides depth for data scientists and simplifies complex tasks for everyone else. More than 700,000 registered users and more than 40,000 organizations in over 150 countries rely on RapidMiner. More than 1,000 universities world-wide use RapidMiner for research and education. The graphical user interface (GUI) of RapidMiner supports visual data mining and text mining process design and interactive data analysis as well as the automation of data analysis and forecasting processes. Automated machine learning (AutoML) capabilities and an integrated recommendation system support less experienced users and accelerate the solution design for data scientists. RapidMiner is an open and easy to extend platform. RapidMiner does not only deliver more than 100 machine learning algorithms out of the box, but also seamlessly integrates other data science tools and libraries like e.g. Python, R, Google TensorFlow, DL4J, Keras, H20, Weka, Hadoop, Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Flink, and many more, enabling the user to combine the best tools within a unifying graphical user interface. Its open interfaces and marketplace have let to more than 100 third-party extensions for RapidMiner on the RapidMiner marketplace and a thriving community of more than 700,000 registered users in more than 150 countries.
The RapidMiner research team has more than 10 years of experience in 7 European and over 10 nationally funded research projects. RapidMiner provides expertise in transferring artificial intelligence knowledge to new use cases and integrating state of the art technologies into an easy to use and extensible software platform. The head of the research team, Ralf Klinkenberg, co-founder of RapidMiner, has more than 30 years of experience in machine learning and more than 25 years experience with industrial data science applications and text analytics and advised the German government in its AI strategy and still advises it in the advisory board of the German national platform for AI and ML ("Plattform Lernende Systeme").
