Physical Frailty of the elderly is an aging-related syndrome of physiological decline, with high risks for inflammations, loss of autonomy and even death. In Europe, 50% of the elderly +65 suffer of some level of frailty and the costs for health care systems in medicines and care are above 350 B€/year. If identified in an early stage, it’s possible to treat and even reverse physical frailty.

Gripwise allows the assessment of frailty, risk fall and sarcopenia in a simple, fast and quantified way, combining a patented smart load cell, mobile and web apps for professional use and a cloud platform to allow the screening of this condition using the fried phenotype protocol.

The treatment of the frail condition is multidisciplinary, including literacy, nutritional supplementation and quantified physical training. Our platform allows prescribing and following the treatment of the frail condition by multiple health professionals, that need to be accredited to access the patient data.

With our system, we aim to evaluate the evolution and maximise impact of the treatment in a quantified way, both for quality-of-life maintenance and cost reduction. We aim to mitigate frailty evolution, reducing health care costs, keeping quality of life of the elderly.
