Aquintos GmbH

Aquintos is a software development house specialized on development tools for automotive applications in the areas of software and electronic architectures. Aquintos was founded in the year 2005 with over 29 employees today.

aquintos’s main product PREEvision is an innovative CASE tool for modelbased development and optimization of software-driven electric/electronic architectures. E/E architectures can be found in many technical systems, e.g. motor vehicles, aircraft systems, industrial automation systems, transportation system or defense systems. PREEvision is used during the conceptualization and evaluation of architectural alternatives in early design phases as a decision support system as well as during the product design phase for the detailed design of the product under development. PREEvision is used on different technical levels: topology, wiring harness, electric logic, power supply, network and function, customer requirements as well as mapping. PREEvision offers a feature-rich domain-specific graphical language developed together with experts from the automotive industry as well as variant management. Based on the model metrics can be applied for benchmarking and different technical variants can be compared to identify the best resulting architecture concept.

Since  May  2010,  aquintos  GmbH  has  been  a  wholly  owned  subsidiary  of Vector  Informatik  GmbH.  In  early  2012,  after  successful  integration  of PREEvision in the Vector product lineup, aquintos business activities were merged with those of Vector.
