Project Inno4Health presented at the World Expo 2020 Dubai
During the NL Sports Week at the (postponed) Expo 2020 Dubai that took place from 12-16 December 2021, the ITEA project Inno4Health was presented to a large audience of international stakeholders from the sports and healthcare industry.
During the Expo, Orange Sports Forum organised a NL Sports Week together with Sportinnovator and the Knowledge Center for Sport & Physical Activity in the Netherlands. During this week, the Dutch sports sector was presented to a large international audience offering an excellent opportunity for Dutch companies in the field of Sport & Vitality to expand their network, exchange knowledge and get in touch with relevant stakeholders and potential partners.
One of the organised seminars in Dubai was dedicated to INNO4HEALTH, talking about the future of sports and health from different perspectives. Mr. Camil Smeulders (Sportbizz) on behalf of Philips, as Coordinator of the INNO4HEALTH project, held the presentation ‘Building continuous monitoring solutions for preparing individuals for surgery or sport competition’ in the context of successful European Public Funding projects. His presentation was followed by a lively discussion.
The seminar provided insights in the INNO4HEALTH project plans to change the way patients are prepared for surgery and athletes are prepared for sports competitions, and what the project can do to increase health and vitality in healthcare and sports.
Inno4Health will create innovative design for wearable sensors using sensors, cloud and communication technology and AI making sense of complex processes that can be used to assess our ability to overcome challenging situations in life, like surgery and achieving certain athletic goals.
In the next couple of years INNO4HEALTH will aim to demonstrate the value of innovation to make healthcare more affordable and sustainable, and sport practice safer and more effective.
