Positive funding perspectives for Dutch partners in ITEA
The available budgets in the Netherlands
The ITEA 2 Office received very good news regarding the available budgets in the Netherlands for the funding of international technological research projects in the field of the High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM). From 2013 to 2020, the Minister of Economic Affairs envisions in total a yearly budget of 40 million euros for the EUREKA Clusters ITEA and CATRENE and the JTI’s ARTEMIS and ENIAC.
The Dutch government attaches great importance to ITEA, which is underlined by the substantial planned funding budgets. It encourages Dutch partners to get involved in the new Call for Projects, which opens on 19 March.
ITEA 2 PO Days: over 70% of the submitted project proposals start here!
ITEA 2 Call 8 will open with the Project Outline Preparation Days: a two-day networking event which will be held on 19 and 20 March in Istanbul, Turkey.
This event will enable the approximately 300 attendees to:
- Receive general information on ITEA 2 and the project call process;
- Present ideas in a poster session and an elevator pitch;
- Discuss and brainstorm about project ideas in workgroup sessions; and
- Contact other interested international parties/potential partners.
Experience shows that over 70% of the submitted project proposals were presented first at the PO Days event. This event clearly offers an excellent opportunity for organisations to be involved in new ITEA 2 project proposals.
