New ICT Manager and Event and Communications Officer

Johan van der Heide & Anneke Bekx

We are very pleased to announce that Johan van der Heide and Anneke Bekx joined the ITEA Office team on 15 April and 3 June respectively. Johan is our new ICT Manager and he succeeds Bavo Janss, who will still be available in the ITEA Office on a part-time basis.

After finalising his PhD at the University of Leuven in 2009, for which the work was performed at imec in Belgium, Johan continued there as a researcher for 6 months. He then changed position internally to IT business partner, becoming the representative and contact point for ICT for more than 3 years.

Anneke Bekx has strengthened the Communications team and will be responsible for the event management related to our follow-up programme ITEA 3. In this task, she can put her event management experience fully into practice, as she used to be Event Coordinator at Ernst & Young until 2009 before becoming an entrepreneur and starting her own events management company ‘BekxEvents’.
