40 years of Eureka anniversary book showcases ITEA Success stories

This year, the Eureka network celebrates its 40th anniversary. We invite you to join us in celebrating this important milestone!

To mark this great achievement and remarkable journey, Eureka has published a book, ‘Blueprint for a better tomorrow’, offering a comprehensive overview of its evolution since its founding in 1985. The publication features testimonials of some of the people who made the network into what it is today, as well as inspiring success stories from companies across all Eureka member countries and regions.

We are very proud to announce that several ITEA projects were selected as standout success stories, nominated by Eureka’s Public Authorities.

First, the ITEA project C³PO, led by Barco and put forward by Belgium, explored ways city planners and designers can consult citizens throughout the urban transformation process, giving them a voice in upcoming developments:

C³PO has been selected as one of the top three success stories and will be featured in a video to be launched during the Eureka Global Innovation Summit (GIS) in Basel on 6 May.

Canada highlights ITEA Board company Esri Canada, along with their outcomes of the ITEA projects PS-CRIMSON and SMART. Esri Canada is a recognised leader in mapping, spatial analysis and smart city solutions, and a pioneer in geographic information systems:

Hungary shares the journey of IncQuery Labs (now PTC) through several ITEA projects including OpenCPS, EMBrACE and OpenSCALING. This story demonstrates how a unique Hungarian team with strong systems engineering expertise has evolved into a successful and impactful player: https://www.eurekanetwork.org/impact/hungary-simulating-systemic-success-a-cyber-physical-journey/

None of this would have been possible without the trust and commitment of the ministries and funding agencies. Their support enables innovators to combine complementary expertise, reduce risk and strengthen strategic supply chains in key sectors.

We wish Eureka and our colleagues at the Eureka Secretariat a Happy Birthday and are looking forward to continuing our journey together, striving to generate impact in the software and systems domain!
