Johan Plomp
Senior scientist, Technical Research Centre of Finland – VTT
Johan is a senior scientist and project coordinator at the Technical Research Centre of Finland. His research focuses on human sensing technologies for health and safety. Johan has participated in the ITEA programme since the beginning in numerous projects and coordinated two (ExpeShare and Empathic Products). Currently he leads the Chips JU project DistriMuSe, a follow up on NextPerception, which he also coordinated. Both projects experimented with novel human sensing technologies, like radar for vital signs, applying them to for example elderly, sleep and driver monitoring.
