Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) is a Spanish university that carries out academic and research activities since 1968. It has 30.000 undergraduate students, 4.600 graduate students, 2.700 PhD students (more than 350 PhD dissertations per year), 3.400 teaching and research staff and 2.000 technical and administrative staff. Academic activities are organized around 14 schools, with a total of 88 doctoral programs and 183 master’s programs. Research activities are developed around 54 departments and 32 institutes and research centers that either belong or are linked to the UAB somehow.
