Stg. ECP-EPN

EPN conducts research on the implication of information and communication technology for society. Via media attention relevant findings are put on the political and research agenda. EPN is a pre-competitive platform focused on the development of knowledge and vision for its partners. At the moment the sectors public healthcare and virtual worlds are among the focus areas. For this purpose two foundations are active:

SIF (Safe Internet Foundation) is responsible for the interest of the end-user (the citizen) of the electronic highway. SIF conducts research, publishes and executes project to improve the quality and security of the internet for the end-user, the citizen.

Nitel (The Dutch Institute for Telemedicine) contributes to the improvement of the (Dutch) public healthcare by investigating the possibilities to increase the introduction of telemedicine application and services.
