The concept of new scalable and resilient system and architecture which monitors food intake at home and transmits indicators of food intake to a e-health care platform. System can be used to transmit data from IoT devices towards a care platform.

Architecture using a gateway to integrate food intake monitoring devices with a data collection platform and using KAFKA for resilience and scalability. Current proof-of-concept reads a food intake measurement using Bluetooth and translates it to FHIR data messages over the internet.

Currently only an Android based smartphone gateway has been implemented.
