Coulomb counters for wireless IoT network stack
- Project
- 19045 STACK
- Type
- New service
- Description
By characterising the energy consumption of each radio operation, and it's dependencies on relevant parameters (such as packet size and output power), in a wireless mesh network one can create a theoretical model on how much energy a device should consume based on it's behaviour in the network. When this is combined with a log of all radio operations it enables the accurate estimation of the current consumption of all devices in a network without actually having to measure it.
