Matchmaking at the EUREKA innovation week 2016
Good partners are essential in order to prepare a successful project. This is why over 300 companies participated at the matchmaking sessions during the EUREKA Innovation Week. Arranged by Enterprise Europe Network, it was an opportunity to meet potential partners for collaboration, broaden the global network and identify new innovations for companies. Additionally, over 30 EUREKA Network, Clusters and Eurostars projects showcased their results in project booths. A total of 871 bilateral meetings were held between companies from 24 different countries, representing areas such as ICT, New Materials, Energy, Smart Cities and Transport and Life Sciences. Very high numbers of participating companies came from Turkey (86), Spain (43), South Korea (43) and Sweden (38). Here is what they say about the event:
“I managed to have 10 business to business meetings this morning, and they were very successful. If all goes well, we will partner up with a Spanish hardware company to do a EUREKA project” – Rayomnd SangYong Cho, CEO at Globepoint Korea, a global education service company promoting the development of the Smart Learning industry.
"We had quite many visits with persons asking various questions and showing interest in the project outcome." - Ilan Mahalal, project leader of the ITEA 3 SITAC project on Social Internet of Things.
