ITEA launches fourth call for proposals
ITEA ‘information technology for European advancement’, a Eureka-supported research and development programme, opened its fourth call for proposals on 1 March 2001.
Companies, universities and research institutes are invited to respond to this call addressing projects within the field of software engineering and provide opportunities for collaboration between different industrial sectors and adjacent academic disciplines.
The ITEA is organising a proposal preparation meeting in order to assist the exploitation of collaborative opportunities. The meeting will help define new projects and will assess the level of interest from delegates with regard to participation in collaborative projects. The two-day event will take place in Munich, Germany, on 15 and 16 March.
In addition, on 14 March 2001 ITEA will launch the first edition of its ‘Technology Roadmap on Software Intensive Systems’ at the DATE conference in Munich. The technology roadmap will describe ITEA's vision of the technological possibilities of the future and potential software developments that will exist within software intensive systems.
The roadmap is intended to be a planning tool that charts the anticipated evolution of different categories of software technology. ‘It takes a broad view of software in embedded and distributed systems and deploys a novel methodology that uses application domain scenarios for prospective analysis’ says ITEA.
The deadline for submission of proposals is 1 May 2001.
