EUREKA ITEA Cluster celebrates 12 years of success
On 26-27 October, the EUREKA ITEA2 Cluster for software-intensive systems and services in cooperation with ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking organised their third annual Co-summit in Ghent, Belgium. Over 600 participants from industry, academia and public authorities got the chance to discover 72 ground-breaking projects focusing on mobile and cloud power opportunities for growth. ITEA2 Chairman Rudolf Haggenmüller presented the 'Golden Book', a special edition featuring the ITEA achievements over the 12 years. ITEA2 Vice-Chairman Philippe Letellier highlighted the Cluster's focus on societal challenges and business impact. Participants were able to vote for the 2010 ITEA Achievement Award which was shared between the ITEA 2 ParMA project for exploiting parallel programming multi-core architectures and the ESNA project for wireless sensor networks. The silver award went to ITEA CAM4HOME project enabling new multimedia deployment in the digital home. EUREKA supported the event and was present with a stand informing attendees of its latest advances.

Participants were able to vote for the ITEA Exhibition Award 2010, which was won by DiY - Smart Experiences. The 3 Achievement Award winning projects were selected by the ITEA 2 Board.
