2011 Opening Event - Eurostars + EUREKA Clusters

The 2011 Opening Event on EUREKA and the Clusters, organised by TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of (Turkey) took place in Istanbul on 19 January 2011. It attracted around 100 organisations (SMEs and large companies, universities and R&D institutions) interested in international R&D cooperation and a large number of participants taking the opportunity to directly discuss issues with speakers and meet with Turkish EUREKA project officers. 
  
Isoline Roger-Dalbert, Eurostars Project Officer, gave an introduction on EUREKA and more specifically on the Eurostars Programme. Heinz Brüggemann, Director of Celtic Office and Fopke Klok, Director of ITEA2 Office, presented the EUREKA Clusters. 25 bilateral meetings between participants and Turkish project officers were organised during the afternoon session.
